Duane is a retired Army veteran of ten years and has made his home in the west Texas town of El Paso. He spent a career in the medical field, particularly in the kidney disease side of medicine.
Along the way he majored in broadcasting communications and spent several years working as station drive-time talent. He has written fantasy football articles for a Texas football sports magazine, and an exclusive article on tuberculosis for the City of El Paso Health Department.
Today he spends his time on the passions that feed his storytelling — photography, video filmmaking and editing, drones, and playing and teaching the guitar.

“He left the Corps. He found his freedom.”
A retired Army nurse sets out on a journey for adventure across the American Southwest. The road is wide, the nights are strange — and every mile carries the possibility of something supernatural.
A story of danger, mystery and the unknown beneath the open desert sky, blending open-road adventure with the pull of the unexplained.
High above the mountains of South Korea, a fire control center stands watch. For the servicemen stationed there, duty is routine — until a burial ceremony crosses their path and they encounter Joseung Saja, the messenger of death in Korean folklore.
When members of the base begin falling to an unknown illness one after another, the group must fight to save the base and themselves before the mountain takes them all.
A friend's call. A family in danger. A mystery in the desert.
